96 Rally body work done

Well, it took a few weeks but the ’69 Rally car body work is done – or rather the rust repairs. There’s still modifications to be done.

That car had a LOT more rust than I thought… I think the welding cost me almost 200 € in Mison gas alone… 😀

So – now we can concentrate more on making the necessary modifications – like boxing in the trunk, putting in the roll cage and making the exhaust.

Making the exhaust is going to be quite a job in itself. Fortunately I got to borrow a Saab Sport&Rally factory original piece to model my own version after. The 96’s flat underside means that the exhaust is going to get quite a beating so it needs to be extra strong.
