The V4 “Rally” is proggressing at a more or less steady pace. I got around to painting a few bits and pieces. The paint scheme is pretty close to the one the car had in the early seventies when racing.
I started off by painting the front fenders orange. I used some cheap paint used for farm machinery. It’s going to take a beating anyway.
Bonnet getting the orange.
Masking the bonnet for the “North State” color scheme.
Painting the white layer.
And finally the blue layer.
The North State team color scheme was well known in Finland in the seventies. It inspired a ton of private cars and replicas with the same colors.
Also the headlights I bought earlier needed fixing.
All they will need is some new paint.
This will be the grille for the car. I already crashed it once so no need to worry about doing it again (see the next photo).
After collision.
