Brake job for the 1964 Saab two-stroke Tommi Järvinen 25.6.2015, 13:32 Saab 96 Sedan 1964 While I was visiting Saab Festival in Trollhättan dad did a little brake job on the two-stroke. I’ll do a post on the Festival later – when I have time to write. But here’s a few photos of replacing the brake linings on the front drum brakes. Removing the brake drums with a hub puller. Drum removed. The brake linings were worn enough for the brakes to make a clanking sound when braking. Drilling out the old rivets. Linings separated from the shoes. Putting in new linings and rivets. And the brakes back together.
