Here’s a few illustrative shots of how much had to be replaced because of corrosion.
Above: The footwell as it is now, after welding.
Below: The green part (the floor) is from the donor car (a longnose V4), the red parts were mostly made from sheet metal.

(As it later turned out, these were not the correct plates! Someone had changed them before my time. There’s about 3 or 4 different combinations used in 93…96 at different times)
Cut some new gaskets:
