We got the 99 Turbo up on the rotisserie – time to start removing the undercoating and the paint. It’s going to take a while, but it has to be done. Some pictures:

That’s going to be a lot of work…
The area behind the fuel tank isn’t too bad. The paint comes off anyway.
A little rust here and there…

The undercoating has been removed, but there’s still all the paint left.
After some wirewheeling.
That’s going to be a nasty spot to repair. Three sheet sandwich…
But other than that the engine bay area looks great.
I have this new set of link arms for the rear axle. They are of a different type than the originals, but I think I will use them anyway.
So – I think this step is going to take a few weeks to complete…

Onpa kiva nähdä että yksi turbo palaa tien päälle. Olen ajellut viimeiset kolme kesää täällä kuopion seudulla mustalla 99 turbola ja pohtinut olenko tosiaan ainoa joka pitää kyseistä mallia päivittäisessä ajossa. En ole nähnyt klubi tapaamisissa kolme ovista turboa ainakaan kymmeneen vuoteen.

Onpa kiva nähdä että yksi turbo palaa tien päälle. Olen ajellut viimeiset kolme kesää täällä kuopion seudulla mustalla 99 turbola ja pohtinut olenko tosiaan ainoa joka pitää kyseistä mallia päivittäisessä ajossa. En ole nähnyt klubi tapaamisissa kolme ovista turboa ainakaan kymmeneen vuoteen.

Mutta on näitä nyt ilmeisesti yksi toinenkin projekti, joten voi olla, että parin vuoden päästä sais jo kolme kasaan johonkin tapahtumaan…
