Finnish Police had very few Saab 96 as patrol cars in the old days and none of them have survived to this day.
I have had this really sad looking Tekno Saab 96 a while and I was going to restore it to it’s former glory. But then I got a better idea – why not model one of the Saab 96 police cars!
So, on one rainy afternoon…
I made the light and sign from plastic and printed the POLIISI text and licence plate with my printer. I’m still missing a headlight. I’ll have to find a suitable piece of glass somewhere.
All in all, I’m pretty happy how it looks.
