I visited my friend Tikkis a few weeks ago. He had this really nice valve job bench that was originally used by Scan-Auto mechanics back in the day. It was a really handy design so we decided to make our own bench. Or rather, I showed a photo of the bench to my father and he made one of some scrap metal we had. A few photos:
