99 Turbo suspension Tommi Järvinen 21.1.2019, 00:11 Saab 99 Turbo 1978 After the car was painted it was time to start putting some parts on the body shell. First job was to install the suspension components. When the clear coat had hardened sufficiently I proceeded to apply cavity wax to all the appropriate places, like inside the side panels and the fender welding joints. The 99 front springs are not the easiest to install, requiring a lot of compression to fit. Especially with the stiffer springs the car has it can be somewhat exciting… I also test fitted the old Bilstein racing shocks. I need to send them to be rebuild. Rear axle in place. New disks for the brakes and the refurbished calipers with new pistons and seals. Same goes for the front end. New disks and refurbished calipers. Also all new brake hoses and parking brake cables. Test fitting the Incas on the Turbo… Looking nice!
