The directional lights in front were not in a good shape. The plastic body was ok but the lamp sockets had rusted useless. I thought about finding new replacements but then a couple extra Saab 900 side directional lights came my way… The lights in the shortnose and the OG …
A few pictures of a pretty wild Saab 96 V6 “rallycar” made for a movie called “Kummeli Stories”. There were two cars made, one that could be blown to bits and then reassembled again (and blown to bits again) and this “hero” version for the driving scenes.
The local market had a bunch of these in the “For Sale” basket the other day. Since they were very cheap I bought all the variations I could find… 🙂 So, there’s some Saab 9-5 Sedans and Wagons as well as 9-3 SportWagons in there in three different colors…

The seats and interior side panels were pretty much shot in my car. I have been able find only miscellaneous scraps from which I was going to assemble a new interior. But, before summer I got in touch with a fellow “saabsti” who said that he might have some interior …

Haha! I’m in Google Streetview… I noticed the Google car, but didn’t think it any further then. But as I just went through some other Streetviews I decided to check if I’m on it also…
I have finally had sufficient time to start painting the various parts that didn’t get painted last year: So, as you see from the photos I will not have the bumpers chromed. There’s not much sense in it since they were in a really bad shape and required extensive welding …
