The 1969 Saab 96 V4 “Rally” I bought a few years back (is it that long already…?) is advancing. The corrosion repairs are underway again. The car is in bad shape and many of the original pieces are missing – like the original engine and gearbox for example. I have a spare engine, a 1.7… Continue reading Saab 96 Rally 1969 – project advancing

Saab 96 two stroke – little improvements
I have done a few small upgrades on the two-stroke. The trunk floor has been pretty ugly all the time – one half unpainted, the other painted yellow! So I decided to fix that. I have done some winter driving now and found out that since I don’t have front curtain to protect the distributor… Continue reading Saab 96 two stroke – little improvements
Saab 99 Turbo 1978
It seems I’m a new owner of a 1978 Saab 99 Turbo. I picked the car up from eastern Finland the past weekend. The Saab 99 Turbo was the first mass-produced Turbo car in the world and one of the most iconic Saab models ever made. So when an opportunity came to get one I… Continue reading Saab 99 Turbo 1978
Saabfestival in Trollhättan – May 31 to June 2nd 2013
I am seriously thinking about going to the Saabfestival in Trollhättan (http://www.saabfestival.se/) this year. And driving there with the ’64 stroker. It’s not a bad trip, 200 km drive in Finland, ferry over to Sweden, and then some 400-500 km drive (depending on the route) from Stockholm to Trollhättan. Tikkis is planning on bringing his… Continue reading Saabfestival in Trollhättan – May 31 to June 2nd 2013
IntSaab2013 site open
It looks like the International Saab Club Meeting 2013 official pages are now open! I would have loved to attend but unfortunately I just don’t have the time this year… But for those interested check the site: http://www.intsaab2013.com/ It seems to be somewhat “work in progress” at the moment but I’m sure it will be… Continue reading IntSaab2013 site open

GoPro Hero 3 Action Camera
I’ve been thinking about buying an action camera for a while now. Just so I could make some nice Saab-videos 😀 I finally decided to buy the new GoPro Hero 3 White Edition. There’s a few different versions of the Hero 3 camera for different uses. I could have gotten the MotorSport Black Edition which… Continue reading GoPro Hero 3 Action Camera
Something to do for Christmas…
Well, I certainly know what I’ll be doing through the Christmas holidays 😀 Two awesome Saab-magazines – the Bakrutan of Saab Club Sweden and Saabisti of the Saab Club Of Finland – arrived on my doorstep just in time for the holidays. A total of 148 pages of Saaby stuff to read through! Merry Christmas… Continue reading Something to do for Christmas…
The winter is here…
I have finally realised a dream of mine… Until now I have rented a small garage space for my Saabs. It had no heating which pretty much meant that all projects were on hold during the winter (for about 4 to 5 months a year!). This fall I decided to fix that issue once and… Continue reading The winter is here…
Saab Club “fleamarket”
The Saab Club Of Finland organised a little parts market today and of course I went to visit. I wasn’t really going to spent any money (since my bank account already lightened quite a bit two weeks ago when I bought a couple of needful things for the Sport…). But – as these things go… Continue reading Saab Club “fleamarket”
